Landscaping & external works
External works decide how a housing scheme feels on the day people move in. We deliver hard and soft landscaping, paving, boundaries and communal areas as an integrated part of residential delivery — not as an afterthought.
What we deliver
Development landscaping
External works packages delivered across a whole site to a consistent standard.
Hard landscaping
Block paving, flagged areas, kerbs, driveways, steps and retaining structures.
Soft landscaping
Topsoil, turf, planting beds, hedging and tree pits set out to the landscape drawings.
Paths & access
Footpaths, level access routes and shared surfaces built for long-term use.
Boundaries & fencing
Close-board and railing fencing, gates, walls and boundary treatments.
Communal areas
Shared parking courts, bin and cycle stores, drying areas and open space finishing.

How a project runs
Every scheme, whatever its size, moves through the same four stages.
- 01
Brief & survey
We visit the site, review drawings and confirm constraints, access and existing conditions before anything is priced.
- 02
Scope & pricing
A written scope and quotation setting out inclusions, exclusions and any items that can only be confirmed once work opens up.
- 03
Pre-construction
Programme, procurement, trade sequencing, site set-up and the notifications and approvals the works require.
- 04
Delivery & handover
Directly managed site, progress reporting at agreed intervals, snagging, sign-off and handover documentation.
How the work is run
Part of the build
External works programmed with the construction sequence so plots complete cleanly.
Durability
Materials and detailing chosen for maintenance over years, not for the handover photograph.
Levels & drainage
Falls, drainage and level access resolved on site rather than left to snagging.
Finish
Clean edges, consistent joints and tidy boundaries — the detail residents notice first.
Projects we have delivered
A selection of completed work across Hull and East Yorkshire.
Before you appoint us
The things clients most often want to establish first.
It can be priced as its own package or programmed as part of the main build. Doing it as part of the build usually avoids a second mobilisation.
Yes. Paving, boundaries and communal areas are regularly delivered as standalone packages for housing providers and developers.
Yes. We handle the groundworks, drainage, levels and sub-base before laying the final surface, so the finished external works last.
They can, and often should be. Combining the build and external works under one programme gives better control over levels, access and handover.
